About this guide

Who runs uPVC Windows Guide, how we compare brands, and how to tell us when we've got something wrong.

Who runs this site

uPVC Windows Guide is published by people who work in the Australian uPVC window industry. That means we have a commercial interest in the market we write about. The rules below are there so that interest doesn't decide what you read.

The domain registrant is public in the .au WHOIS record.

Editorial policy

  • No rankings. We don't give star ratings, scores or "best brand" awards. Brands are shown side by side on the same checks, and you decide what matters for your project.
  • Same template for everyone. Every profile system and every fabricator gets the same fields, in the same order, with no special placement. That includes any business connected to the people who run this site.
  • Evidence you can check. Each fact links to its public source: the WERS database, the AGWA member register, a published test report, a warranty document or the company's own website.
  • Verified and claimed are kept apart. If we could only find a company's own statement, the fact is marked "claimed", not "verified".
  • No paid listings. Nobody pays to appear, to be left out, or to be described differently.

Where the data comes from

Profile system and fabricator facts come from public records and company websites. Every brand and fabricator page shows the date it was last checked. Energy figures come from the Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS). Standards content refers to the current Australian editions, and each page names the edition it uses.

Prices, where we give them, are dated and name their sources, because window prices change quickly.

Errors and corrections

If a fact about your company or product is wrong or out of date, email info@upvcwindowsguide.com.au with a link to the source that shows the correct information. We check it and update the page. Corrections are made on evidence, not on request alone.

Readers can use the same address to tell us about anything that looks wrong.
